Romulan: The Mind-Warping Indica Named After Star Trek

“Space… the final frontier.” All the Star Trek enthusiasts would know this line, spoken by the famous and glorious Captain Kirk at the beginning of every episode. These little words often give you chills and send you warping through endless space and time as the episode began. Then there are the Romulans, an antagonist race that is always waging war against the United Federation of Planets. They are unique creatures. They look different, they speak different, and they eat different.

Nerds and scientists came together and decided to name a certain indica strain the Romulan. There are over thousands of strains and breeds of cannabis in the market today. They are mostly divided into three sections- cannabis indica, cannabis sativa and hybrids. Much like the race, this particular strain is a class apart from the rest and gives its own kind of high. Maybe you wouldn’t get a chance to board the starship USS Enterprise, but you would definitely go reeling through space and time with this strain.

The Romulan is a cross between the White Rhino and an unknown indica strain. The White Rhino is famous for its high potency and heavy body high. Scientists suspect an Afghani landrace strain imbibed into the strain genetics that gives this herb physical sedative qualities.

This strain isn’t as potent as some of the indica strains out there in comparison to the high it can provide. A strain of this herb can have up to 22% THC. An average strain has about 18-22% psychoactive THC that makes it’s a pretty good strain. There is almost no CBD in this strain, so it’s not good for medicinal applications.

The strain is quite savory. At first, you’d feel the pungency and acidity which would subside with undertones of crisp pine and soothing earthiness. It gives a forest like vibe and tastes sharp with musky aftertastes.

The mind-warping effects of this strain earned its name. Who knows, you could probably start thinking and behaving like Romulans after a toke of this strain. Even though it’s an indica, this strain has heavy cerebral effects that tend to make you foggy and relaxed. Don’t count on undertaking serious tasks after consuming Romulan. Overall, this strain will give you a head to toe high, that would eventually make you drowsy and relaxed.

Doctors are using this strain to treat patients suffering from anxiety, depression, pain and PTSD because of its sedative and muscle relaxing effects.

So fix up an appointment with Captain Kirk tonight as you roll your blunt. Light it, take a puff and let the strain take you into deep space amidst the beautiful starts, galaxies and constellations. You wouldn’t regret the trip.
