The status of cannabis in Colorado was never hidden from anyone. But what about the colleges of East Coast– are they weed-friendly too to such an extent like Coloradans?
What’s the take of Colorado Colleges on Pot Industry?
Well, Colorado’s status as being one of the most cannabis-friendly states is still unanswered. Mostly the people in the colleges are not in support of the pot industry as such. According to the recent research, there are just two Colorado schools that entered the top twenty of that supporting pot industry.
After the survey was conducted on 135000 college students around the nation, the Princeton review positioned at the top, where students were accepting cannabis like anything. Another university names the University of Colorado Boulder ranked four in this survey whereas Colorado College was nineteenth on the list.
The research was the result of how students actually feel about the pot industry. One of the reasons for this support could be cannabis treatment. The way people are defeating their diseases and disorders is what pushes people to support the cannabis industry. Of the states that are legalized to use cannabis, it was just the four schools that actually were on the list of people supporting cannabis.
Who was Missing from the List?
Northern Colorado University in Greeley and Colorado State University in Fort Collins were missing from the list. The major university that penalized cannabis possession on campus just like alcohol possession, which happened back in 2005. After 2005, the town of Fort Collins has banned and then re-allowed all the dispensaries within the city limits. They even announced the class program which allowed students to learn more about marijuana addiction treatment.
So what’s ahead- The Cannabis Industry!
The Metropolitan State University of Denver shares the Austria campus which surrounds almost 175 retail pot shops and many other medical dispensaries. Surprisingly, these dispensaries were off the list this time.
Colorado also made one list, which includes the 20 schools, which were least friendly to the marijuana in this entire study and research. The results of the study even revealed that the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs is the fifth least friendly university that promotes the usage and consumption of marijuana.
It seems that cannabis in Colorado has different impressions on all the schools and universities of Colorado. While some colleges are ranking both in the East Coast and Colorado, some others are not interested to consume cannabis. So, we can say the study resulted in something very balanced.
